We are so happy

For me this year's Langkawi was all about a a particular person qualifying for Hawaii. Its been uppermost in my mind for such a long time. She made it, my wife and I couldn't be happier. Why am I shedding so much tears of joy?

I am also very happy that my two students (Paul Lee and Peter Chan) succesfully completed their first Ironman when half the world it seemed DNF. Since they both beat me, I can ask them for tips now.

I am also happy that Jens Wilkens and Cort Prois qualified for Hawaii.

I came in last in my age group: 16 hours 24 minutes.

China IM in two weeks, aiyo.....

Sofian,
I was the one cheering for all triathletes at the end of the running u-turn point di hujung sana. Wearing white cap, with striking green shirt. I guess i was the only supporter there (apart from the officials reading out race bib numbers).

No apology required. Nice to meet you, finally!

Yes I thought that was you. I was wondering how come this guy knew exactly the correct words to say. Normally those who don't know IM, just say rubbish.
Thank you very much it was much appreciated. YOU ARE THE MAN. Sofian

sifu, once again thanks for all the info and advice over the past few months. all of it was so helpful during the race. couldnt have finished without your help.
the sense of achievement (and relief !!!) is tremendous. it has been a long journey for someone with very limited talent for this sort of thing.
as i was walking up the plane today to come home, i saw the boarding passes. seat no. 10D,10E,10F. DEF - Did Eventually Finish !!! it took me 16h 01m to finish, but i am overjoyed i didnt DNF !!!
thank you again for getting me there :)

nik, thanks so much for the wonderful support.
it meant so much to have you shouting our names as we turned the corner at that quiet end.
you were the only one there most of the time but you made a huge difference with all the cheering that came from the heart.
thank you !!!
