Ironman China last week

  • 299 started (making this the easiest road to Kona for the Simons and Emmas)
  • Only 217 finished. About 28% dnf. The highest rate around?
  • 2 from Msia started. Hoo Ching Cheong who did 15h 56m (he went sub 14h at IM MY). Ong Boon Hin unfortunately dnf. Both Hoo and Ong also took part last year.
  • Singapore had many participants. At IM WA, Spore had the largest overseas contingent. Do Singapore have the highest number of IM per capita? Quite possible.
  • For the 70.3, Miro who is working in Malacca came in 11th overall. Miro has also registered for IM WA 2009.

IM China is making headlines as the toughest IM on the IM brand circuit now... Langkawi is no longer the toughest show on earth... :P

It is defintely on my calender for next year should everything go pearshaped - again! And if it doesn't you will still see me there doing the 70.3 - looks awesome! BRING ON THE HEAT!
