LAST SERIOUS WORKOUT

Sunday 12 Feb 06 - Suffered

The Plan with Dr Tan was to do four loops of the Tekali Hill. However after 3 loops, I was feeling disoriented (a very bad sign). We just did a few km on the flat and called it a day. I struggled all the way home.

I cycled from my house and met Dr Tan at 8 a.m. at Pekan Batu 14. I strated fine but ended badly. The cause was NOT ENOUGH SLEEP. The night before, I went for a birthday party for a two year old. Its OK for babies to sleep late, but not us who are training.

Thus my Sunday ride total was about 160 km (meter not accurate) , 7 hrs 12 mins. Average 21.9 km/hr.

Saturday
4.5 km swim at Bukit Jalil. 1.5 km warm up, 30 mins 2 secs. Then 30 X 100m on 2 mins 10 secs.

Monday to Friday
Up to one hr every morning at the Gym consisting of cycle (40 mins), then light weights.

Weekly total was 13.5 hours of training.

GAME PLAN FOR LANGKAWI

Take it easy now. All the work has been done. Maybe train on alternate days only. Do more swimming. This Sunday take it easy. Service the bicycle.

CONCERNS
1. Can I run?

2. The pimple on my butt

3. Pain in elbow after 1 hr of swimming.

4. Food intake. My chosen food bar is difficult to open. My sensitive tummy.

Dun worry, all the hard work has been done. Good luck.

I know this is kinda weird coming from a rookie, but I tried cutting the energy bar (powerbar) in half and stash it in a ziplock bag before i start riding. easier to eat.
