Initially had great expectations for the long weekend, in the end the body wasn't what it used to be.
Merdeka Day
Went to PD with Ngae. The sea was deceptively choppy with strong current. Swimming time was about 1 hr 30 mins, Ironman distance.
Cycled in the hot sun. 64 km loop. Took 2 hrs 30 mins, excluding a water stop.
Called it a day.
Saturday
Met Shazly, Stupe and my regular cycling buddies (Razak n Suhaimi) at Batu 18 (nice car park by a pristine river).
I ended up cycling alone up Peres then Tekala. Only 65km but I was out from PD.
Sunday
Orang Asli to Bentong alone. 102 km 4 hrs 38 min on meter. Yes slow.
34 years of endurance sports. Endured a heart attack and major surgeries, but I'm still at it. Only Open Water Swimming now. Very ably supported by my Thai wife, Tip. We are living in Malaysia and I swim to stay healthy.
